It’s been a long road, but in the last year and a half your gringas have lost — we shit you not — almost 140 pounds. And Kelly has lost over 100 of that on her own.
Both Kari and Kelly are loving
this new healthier version of themselves and are proud of
everything that they’ve accomplished, however, as they reflect back
on the process it’s definitely a little bittersweet.
The
ladies discuss the traumatic life events that lead to the weight
gain, struggling with body dysmorphia, the moment when Kelly knew
things had gone too far, and all of the ways in which losing the
equivalent of a chubby 5th grader can actually be a giant mindfuck.
(Spoiler alert: they cry again.)
Kari
and Kelly also talk about what life looks like now, and what they
are doing to maintain their new healthier outlook. Losing weight
and keeping it off is definitely not a diet — it’s a lifestyle
change — and for your gringas it still feels like a constant
science experiment to figure out what works and what
doesn’t.
